But many users think that the tap water detected by TDS detector is "qualified", which means that the quality of tap water is really up to standard. In fact, qualified drinking water needs to meet the standards of comprehensive indicators such as turbidity, total bacterial count, microbial number, heavy metal concentration and organic content. It is not rigorous to determine whether the water quality is up to standard through TDS detection pen.

Mistake 2: The filter element doesn't look dirty, so it doesn't need to be replaced

Some users will have the awareness of replacing the filter element, but when they remove the filter element and find that the color of the filter element looks "not very dirty", they will mistakenly think that it is not necessary to replace it. In fact, this practice is not appropriate.

The proportion of substances in tap water in different regions is different. If the tap water in this area contains a lot of sediment and rust particles, the filter element that has been used for a long time will appear yellow (the color of sediment) or brown (the color of rust), and look very dirty. As long as the water can be discharged normally, the water purifier does not need to replace the filter element, and can be used all the time. In fact, the service life of the filter element requires comprehensive consideration of filtration and adsorption. If there are few large particles in the water, the filter element may not be blocked for several years, but a large number of heavy metal ions, microorganisms and other harmful substances may still be accumulated on the filter element.
