However, as the national standard GB/T30306-2013 "Drinking Water Treatment Cores for Household and Similar Purposes" has been submitted for approval and will be officially released and implemented in the second half of the year, the national standard for parts and components of the domestic water purifier industry will play a certain role in curbing the current confusion in the water purifier industry, such as false publicity, difficulty in after-sales maintenance, and uneven product quality.
The filter element is the source of non-standard phenomenon
At present, China's water purifier production enterprises are conservatively estimated to be about 3000, while there are few standardized enterprises.
As a consumer consumable, water purifier enterprises mainly rely on replacing filter elements to bind customers. In the view of an industry insider, filter elements are also the source of some industry irregularities. The above insiders said that the current chaos in the water purifier industry is mainly reflected in the following aspects: First, false publicity. For example, a certain brand of water purifier claims that the filter element has self-cleaning function and does not need to be replaced. In fact, filter elements of all materials need to be replaced irregularly. Take PP cotton as an example. Once the service life is exceeded, it will not only not filter water, but may even become an important source of water pollution. At the same time, some bad enterprises will also graft when promoting their products. For example, ultrafiltration water purifier claims to have RO reverse osmosis function. In fact, the filtration precision of the former is 0.001 μ m, while the filtration precision of RO reverse osmosis can reach 0.0001 μ m. Second, after-sales service is difficult. Since the filter element needs to be replaced irregularly, from 3 months to 2 years at most, it also puts forward higher requirements for the after-sales service of enterprises. Third, problems occur frequently. Due to the high requirements on the materials used to wrap the filter element, some poor manufacturers often cut corners, resulting in frequent fire accidents on the electronic board of the water purifier.
